Okay, so I'm very, very tired right now, but I just have to put a word in here about this scene.

I had noticed (and continue to notice) a trend in comic books and other related media wherein the hero is faced with the gravity of the situation and decides to be all tragic and "oh, everything is so perilous I must do it all on my lonesome!" Ichigo has a seriously bad case of this, but that's just one example. Usually this choice ends badly with the hero's well-meaning yet oblivious friends stumbling in and getting hurt/killed, leading to more waangst on the part of the hero.

And I realized that after this ordeal Shakuro must also be having similar feelings… but she's Shakuro, and doesn't make the same mistakes.
